Who We Are

South Central Public Power is your connection to electric service.

The 1900 square-mile service area of South Central Public Power District includes some of the richest irrigated farmland in south central Nebraska.

South Central Public Power District is a non-profit electric distribution system which provides low-cost electricity to rural Clay, Nuckolls and Webster counties and portions of Adams, Fillmore, Thayer and Hamilton counties in Nebraska.

South Central serves and operates in 15 incorporated towns at retail and transports power to five additional towns in this service area. South Central serves over 7,200 meters and operates over 2,300 mile of line.

The headquarters of South Central PPD is in Nelson, Nebr., which is also the county seat of Nuckolls county.
